2019 Discover 5% Cash Back Calendar

Now that they've done away with Wholesale clubs every quarter is redundant for me. If the grocery quarter were later in the year that migth be good, but I'll have my BCP through May so even that's useless for me this year.

At least if I take advantage of a 0% BT offer I won't have to worry about needing the card for a purchase.

Same thoughts. Im disappointed no wholesale club. Im in my first year and was looking forward to one more quarter of double cashback on my BJs purchases. *sigh*

I'm confused. Why would you expect Discover to have a wholesale quarter when the largest wholesaler, Costco, only takes Visa?

Maybe I am misreading your comment but it seems a little pissy. I don't know why you're confused given the fact that Discover has had wholesale clubs as a category for 2 of the 4 quarters for at least the last 2 years. You know there are other wholsale clubs besides Costco right?

Seems very basic rewards for each quarter. Chase Freedom at least has been doing 3 categories per quarter to add some variety. With the removal of Discover Deals as well, not sure what Discover is heading towards.

These categories are useful, good for everyday spend where you don’t have to worry too much.

The 5% reward rate can be enhanced a little more by the gift card deals. Several offer more value back than what you pay for them out of your Discover reward funds, making the likely return a little more than 5% on the original spend.

Because Costco still accepts Discover/MC/Visa for online purchases including online purchases of Costco cash cards. I've been buying Costco cash cards during both of the quarters that the Wholesale Club category has come up on Discover in 2018.
