30 day message from Sears app

I just applied online for a Sears card (Citibank).  I got the following message:

 

 

Thank you (my name). Your application has been received. Further processing is required at this time. We will contact you within 30 days via email regarding our decision. Thank you for requesting a Sears Card®.

 

 

 

Has anyone else gotten this message with this card?  What were the results?  Is there a number to call for status update?  It has been my experience so far that the "need more processing time" messages have been good when applying online.  It seems that when I get denied online, it is usually an instant denial.  The non-instant responses seem to involve some sort ID verification.  Any thoughts?

I think this is the backdoor number for Sears 800-599-9710 Good luck

I tried calling this number and it was for the Commerical Credit.  They transferred me to Consumer Credit and gave me that number for future reference (888-213-9729), so it still worked out.  Thanks for the info.

 

Unfortunately, I was declined due to high UTL.  The CSR's were VERY friendly people.  That was by far the most polite decline I have ever had and they told me to be sure to try again when my UTL gets a little lower.  They pulled EX.

I'm sorry for passing the wrong number to you I have a Sears CommercialOne card for business. At least now you know what you have to improve on. Once you get that taken care of just go for it again and I'm sure you'll be approved. In the mean time....take care
