Re: 765 - 799 score but no credit history

I think the problem is the CRA did not have the accurate data from Chase. Once the CR's update, your Moms history should post to your report. I'd be very surprised if it doesn't.

I would not suggest adding as a joint. When and if you want to remove yourself from that account it would have to be closed. I'd wait for Chase request to update your CR's goes through AND I would look into a CU. Deposit some money in a savings or CD and you will most likely be approved for a secured card and a motorcycle loan. Since you are in San Diego, look into SD County CU.

Re: 765 - 799 score but no credit history

Not true ! my family added me to chase freedom a year ago. We just called chase removed my family out of chase freedom. Chase did pulled my credit report before they do it. its done,my credit report showing individual chase account not joint like before. If chase just reporting AU on his credit report , i bet 1000% no lender will give him a loan ! because its not his credit card and he have no individual credit history( lack of credit experience )

@JustinNguyen

Not sure if your post was in response to mine. However, if a person is joint on an account and wants to be removed the other account will be closed and like you said -a new credit report is pulled in order to qualify as an individual.

Also, I suggested a CU with a secured deposit they are more lenient than national banks when lending to individuals with no credit of their own.

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

What about a secured loan against your savings?

Too many INQs & low AAoA so I'm off to tend the Garden.     Age:23

Re: 765 - 799 score but no credit history

I actually just got my M1 permit last week and moved into the house the week before. Work is just under 2 miles away on all surfice streets so I can drive there on my permit. I've never driven a motorcycle before so I choose something easy to ride and cheap to buy and maintain so I choose the cbr250r. I would like a Honda grom but one wont be availible for a while due to very limited supply and long waiting lists. They can't go on the freeway so it likely wouldn't be as practical in the long run but they sure are cheap and would get me to work.

I checked with Mission Federal credit union today and they offer a motorcycle loan that may be an option. I haven't tried SD credit union yet but I probably should to compare rates. I have used Union Bank all my life but they don't offer loans but they did have a 0% interest for a year credit card but I'm not sure if my history with them would have any sway. I could show them my direct deposit history and rent payments back years, I would think that would be sufficient but I don't think I want to risk more credit checks lowering my score.

Re: 765 - 799 score but no credit history

if they no longer to add joint to account then sorry for that option

But i like to answer and tell you this.

my family added me to chase account over a year ago. then later on we called to removed my family out of chase account. they pulled my credit, closed account. reported new chase number with same history !!!!!!

Then another option. BOA will let someone add another to joint account by run his/her credit report first.

That topic about 5 months ago.why dont you call chase and ask again. They change from Yes to No and can change from No to Yes , you never know .

* 1 thing i need to tell you, If i can Fly i will !  And You Too !!!!!

Re: 765 - 799 score but no credit history

CBR250 is the best option for beginer. CBR250 still can get into Freeway, you can run over 70 M, it may not smooth. i got my CBR250 out from dealer and traded back after 2 weeks to get another Suzuki GSX_R 600 . I love my Suzuki much better

or you may pick another option to buy a used CBR to save money. if you took it out from dealer, you likely lose 30-40% of value of that bike right after you took it out dealer !.

If you get used CBR around 3k after a year you can just sell it without loss any value. 80% rider will change from 250 to 600 to 1000 CC after 6 month of experience

Re: 765 - 799 score but no credit history

Uhhh, it is still unclear to me if OP has seen his credit report or not.

OP, can you just tell us exactly what the credit report says (i.e. cut and paste), but redact any sensitive info.  Basically need to know what accounts, open or closed, are showing up on credit reports and the details.
