Re: AA from AMEX

The baddie is old, paid judgment from 2011 I'm waiting to fall off. Wish I could get rid of it sooner. Only negative thing on my report. 10 INQ on EX.

10 in a year? Geez my friend you've been busy.... Jk

That being said cool out for awhile and I agree a 1K CC with a AF not the most favorable conditions

So you have a decision to make with a calm head too....close or regrow the card over time?

Good luck whichever direction you take

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: AA from AMEX

So, did you call them and try and make your case for reinstatement?

1. You can make a plea for reinstatement

2. You can work with the card for awhile and see if you can grow it.

3. You can can it.

Of, course with my BK, I'd be happy to have any Amex right now, but that AF might not be worth it for that kind of a CL.

Re: AA from AMEX

Was the negative on your CR back when you originally applied? I'm thinking if it was, the combination of that and the new inquiries made Amex nervous.

Re: AA from AMEX

That's a possibility. And yes it was on there when I originally applied back in June.

Am I the only one here who thinks a $3.5k SL is a sign Amex was nervous from the start?

Re: AA from AMEX

Nope, but I have lower income. They have upped it twice (I started with 3.5k, now have 11k on two cards, and they are not shutting down).

Have you disputed it after getting the AMEX?
