AMEX Backdate after Chapter 7 BK

Hi all, has anyone who has Ch 7 BK and got an AMEX afterwards been also able to request a backdate? Thanks!

Backdate as in cosmetic "Member since" or actually backdate card opening date?

"Real" backdating stopped a while back.  Anyone, BK or not, who gets an Amex, doesn't get a backdate where it matters (credit report).   On the card it might say Member Since a long time ago, but the value of that is, well, very small indeed.

American Express stopped backdating new accounts with the credit reporting agencies in March 2015.

Amex No Longer Backdating to Credit Bureaus

Yes filed BK 2006, blackballed until 2016, all my cards read member since 1994

@WJL, Amex will backdate your CC if and when you you're able to get another one, but WONT backdate your "member since" to the CRA. It will be a new account reporting.
