Hey Fico Family,
My mom is looking at replacing her Citi DC with Amex Cash Magnet. She is closing on wednesday on her new townhouse. So as soon as that is done we will be pulling the trigger. She used to have an EDP @ 10K and we also filled out the prequal and it did not pop up. We just want to know what kind of SL she might recieve she wants more than 13K as she has some big purchases coming up and wants the 0%. I was think also about CFU since she had prior relationship with Chase. You guys know best any feedback is always appreciated.
Stats: EX score 763, Income north of six figures, AAoA 5.5 years. Highest SL was CSP @ 25K.
The number one question everyone is gonna have is, "why does she want to go from a 2% cash back card to a 1.5% cash back card?"

The 15 months offer is pretty solid... A good point there.
I would use a BT offer to transfer and pay down debt, not to buy something and carry a balance... In many cases, that can be a trap.

Mom is currently carrying no debt and has never carried any. So I am confident she will pay it off before the 15 months is up with no issues.

She wants the 0% and there are no 2% cards that give 0% promos.

Personally, I don't think anything needs to get replaced, and by replaced I'm assuming temporarily for spend while others might think permanently. Just get a card that does what she needs it to do. I've seen some lengthy 0% offers lately from citi, Chase, and discover. Discover 5% would be my choice as they have the first year double cash back making it between 2-10% for the first year.
