I'm tossing around the idea of picking up an AMEX Green card. I already have a Platinum, Gold & BBP card. My main reason for considering it is the x 3 on the "special" travel things (i.e parking, tolls, 3rd party travel sites, etc). I already get x2 on these with my BBP card so I'm not sure if it's worth the hassel for just an extra point. I'll offset 2/3 of the AF by adding my wife and daughter to my Clear account (which I plan on doing anyway) so that takes the AF down to basically $50. I'm guessing around $8K-$10k a year spend in the "special" catagories. So at $.01 / point x 8k-10k MR points it makes sense to pay the $50. Thoughts?
It does seem to be a lot of hassle for 1MR/$. Not sure how you feel about the impact on the average age of accounts and any impact to your credit score. Only you know if you have enough travel/transit spend to justify that hassle by adding the green (which you seem to have already done some math on).

I'm a big fan of the green. From Uber, to essentially all 3rd party travel sites. The 3x also applies to all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, and I imagine elsewhere, although my personal experience is only around the Riviera Maya. Car rentals. It easily adds up for us as we travel frequently and this offers a great multiplier on things the usual cards don't.
