AMEX: How long from the last card?

Someone mentioned that AMEX BCE and Delta Gold are relatively easy to get compare to other revolvers.

However, one thing that I couldn't find is that how long should I wait from the last card. We kind of agree that it is too risky if I stay in the garden for less than three months. Then, someone mentioned that is is ok as far as you have no inquiry in the last three months. Meanwhile, someone suggested that I have to wait at least six months to be save.

Context:

AAoA 6 months, Oldest account 9 months

existing CL: CU $1500, Chase Freedom $1500, Discover IT $1500, CapOne $1500

Inquiries 0 in the last 3 months, 2 in the last 6 months, 8 in the last 12 months.

Credit Score: CK 721, CreditSesame 718

7% util on one card. 0% for the rest.

Many thanks,

8 INQ's in the last 12 months need to age some. Are any of those accounts showing a year of payment history and if so which?

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Not sure about BCE being easier to obtain. With a thin file and 10 inq's gardening is best.

The oldest account is just 9 months.

Re: AMEX: How long from the last card?

You need to let the oldest bunch of inq's age to 1 yr before apping. Your FICO. Should go up some and your AAOA will be 1 yr

Re: AMEX: How long from the last card?

I app'd and was approved to Costco TrueEarnings on 5/18/13 and then app'd for and was approved for PRG on 5/24/13. At the time I had:

EX - 12
EQ - 13
TU - 6

They pulled EX both times.. My overall ultils was 11%. Myfico was 713.

Back in Feb of this year I app'd for and was approved to Gold Delta Skymiles...

Good luck!!

@RSCo

And what was your AAOA then? I think the issue isn't the inq's by themselves - its the thin file too

Re: AMEX: How long from the last card?

Hey there.. On EX my AAoA was 5.7yrs. Oldest account tho was 15.6yrs.. Yeah, you're right, his AAoA may very well be a factor..

Re: AMEX: How long from the last card?

I see. My concern is my AAoA too.

Do you think I have a better chance with AMEX Gold charge card? I have received a lot of "pre-screened" offer from them in last two months.
