I dont think banking with them counts (maybe if you have a substantial amount) since amex savings bank and their credit cards are separate entities unlike chase and boa which are the same thing.

UPDATE: Checked the status this morning it was denied. Called EO and got transferred and said I would get a letter telling me why... and my Delta Gold Skymiles was cancelled still... oh well maybe in 6 months I should apply for the Delta Gold FIRST instead I believe I would get instant approval.
