I was thinking of opening a Green or PC'ing to it from my Zync...until they discontinued the Zync. I consider it somewhat of a rarity now.
I'll be keeping it until the force me to change!
Got talked in to app'ing for PRG card instead of Green. My work lets me book travel on my own card now, so it should reward me handsomely with a few transcon flights
Got approved for PRG in about 10 minutes!
Will probably use Zync here and there just to report a balance each month, but PRG will be my new heavy hitter.
I'm keeping my Zync, as I get 5x for food purchases with Zync, and all points automatically become MR points visiable in both my PRG view and Zync view. You do not have to call CS to have them combined.
I missed my opportunity to get any of the Zync packs since they're now discontinued. I wish I would have gotten the dining one especially.
I've always felt the Zync was one of Amex's better cards.
The restaurant pack alone was worth it, in my view. It was my favorite personal dining card and Costco card. Bank the points, then just app for a PR Gold sign up bonus, and voila--free business class flight to anywhere!

I believe you can now PC from the Zync PD; could be wrong but think we got a pair of anecdotal reports to that effect post-discontinuation.
Personally I think I might keep the Zync till they take it away from me. Other than having trouble reading the account number there's nothing I dislike about it and I have to admit there is a certain cool and possibly even classy factor about the white Amex that even be socially oblivious yours truly has become aware of when using it. I can't pretend to understand it and rationally I don't care, but it's a cheap morale booster. Stupid emotions.
Yeah, that's a good point Rev ~ I haven't asked AMEX about PCing out of Zync since they discontinued. I do recall the AMEX CSR telling me that I couldn't move back when I "downgraded" from Green to Zync last year.
I have two Zyncs now - one NPSL and one with the $200 Hard Limit I plan on keeping both of them, what can I say, I just like the white card.

Think the CSR was wrong there too; even when the Zync was in full swing we had people that went Green (Gold / whatever) -> Zync and were able to PC back again.
It was the accounts which started as Zync and ended as Zync originally at least anecdotally.
Seriously though bud, what are you doing with that hardlimit card now, just open tradeline farming? There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of point to that $25 AF for a duplicate card . Supposedly we'll be able to replace them ad naseum, and Amex does have some one-off policies on future cards with a limited one; I'd not take the chance personally of triggering something silly on a future card approval or CLI.
