AMEX, all for nothing, Disappointed !!!

Those who are experiencing limited places where they can use their AMEX card must live in some really small cities.    I haven't had any problems using my AMEX Blue card in Miami.

I'm guessing that it depends on where one lives.  In NYC I haven't had a problem with my ZYNC or Blue it's accepted everywhere.

It's accepted nearly everywhere in Knoxville, too.  Normally the small businesses that don't accept AMEX around here only accept VISA and MC.

There's a sushi place in a town nearby that takes AMEX and not Discover.  There are plenty of places that are the opposite, but for the most part, all four are accepted.

ok...so anything smaller than Miami is a really small city? Miami is the biggest metro area in the Southeastern US

I think that would actually be Atlanta, but they're not far apart either way.  Anyway, we've heard from much smaller cities.

Miami is the largest metro area in the Southeast.  AMEX has many of its customer service centers in the area.

Here in Minneapolis most everywhere we go takes AMEX....

In Northern CA, I'd say about 90% of all my charges have gone on the card.  The only merchant I've encountered who didn't accept the card is a gourmet burger joint and payment for my association fees.

Everything else I've been putting on the card.
