Users here can help to provide insights if you list out your accounts and utilization percentages. That's why they are asking all of the questions. Are you looking for insight or just needed to vent? It's clear that Amex has identified a risk in your profile. You've written a lot of accusations and no facts or details. I'm confused by this post. What is the proof?

There was a link to screen shots proving eveything I said but it was removed by the Mods... Check the first page you will see.

And you have it backwards, currently I have identified a serious risk in AMEX's profile. All the accusations are true and backed up by screen shot and voice recording! When I told AMEX I too was recording them they refused to respond any further and suggested I could not do such a thing... They disconnected the call and a manager called me back and offered me an option to return my limit to the $2700 it was at from the $1000 it was reduced to after a certian charitable donation that shall not be named. The wacked my credit line THREE times on my personal AMEX Blue. No missed payments.

Re: AMEX credit limit decrease

Wow,

My thread has been seriously censored on this site!

I tried to follow some links to responses and it says I don't have access..

I would just like to say that MyFico is not an honest place to post your experiences as they censor and create drama as a result of said censorship. I do have many other outlets to post my experiences and I will use them!

I will also post about my experiences here at MyFico and back them up with screen shots.

This is a very poor forum for customers, I think it is more geared towards propping up the lenders than letting the customers express themselves. Beware.

Re: AMEX credit limit decrease

I think there was some sort of site error. I mean my posts are gone too and I didn't have anything negative or against the rules at all in those posts and there are a bunch of posts that are just randomly gone.

If the mods had to come in and remove that many posts, this thread would have been locked too.

You are not trapped, you can close them (ALL)....just pay them off first to not hurt your scores anymore than they are.  What were the reasons given by the cb's for score drops?  Utilization?  Any cards opened recently personally and if so, how many?

So this bold stmt. is pertaining to the Business credit of 5k?  What was it originally that was still  considered "wasn't all that great"? (again what are the original starting limits plz)

Ok, the original starting limit on the AMEX Platinum Business was "unlimited". I am trapped because I have already paid the $500 and the damage from what they did is already done. I have closed cards before, even after paying off and it does negatively impact your credit score.

What was the "wrong" they accused you of? Thank goodness I have a Discover card with a $17k limit and that $10k was no problem for them.   Okay, the bold print again....so you have a 5K limit with a balance and you tried to charge an additional 10k?  Did you try to call first to ask about "spending power" or utilize the tool online?  If you did, what was the answer?

At the time I tried to make the $10k purchase the AMEX Platinum was supposed to have an "unlimited", or no pre-set spending limit. I was purchasing a car. I did try the spending powertool on AMEX and it was approved! My first credit line decrease with American Express happend to my business card about two days after this where it was reduced from "No pre-set limit" to "$5,000"

Would need to know scores upon approval with Amex, for all three cards.can the mortgage reps. see your business scores and your business tradeline on personal?  Did the Mortgage Rep also pull your Business Reports?  If so, did the Mortgage Rep. feel your Business tl's and scores were just as flawless as Personal? Which scores? All 3cb's, fico 8, 9, vantage? Bankcard?(To know your whole profile would help shed some light on the CLD reasons. ie. how many of those tradelines did you open after theirs, balances)

You have to understand, I am a small business person... I had to submit taxes, bank statements the whole nine yards! I didn't apply for the AMEX platinum business, I was invited off the old Green card based on my history. I have four people who carry the card, mine is the only one that is Platinum.  Before all of this my score was in the mid 700's between the three credit reporting companies.

@Stellar007  I'm a female business owner, this is my way in with Amex x's 2 recently.  Very interested in the Amex Plat (5k limit) and the 10k transaction that you ended up having to apply to the Discover Card.  Did you first check you "spending power" tool online before trying to run 10k?  or Did you call in to Amex to check the "spending power". Also, is this why Amex said you were trying to do something "wrong"?

I'd really like to know this as my relationship with Amex is new, from one SB owner to another SB owner.

Also, biz scores.....what were they before compared to after?  Any damage done there? I did not hear you make mention which also reminds me that your Mortgage Reps. if they had checked all of your tl's that would have meant biz tl's too, correct?  Idk why a Mort. Rep would need to see biz tl's and scores but if they didn't that in itself could justify the reason they didn't understand your scores being affected by hidden tl's.

How many Biz tl's do you have and how many reporting negatively?  Just the one Amex?  Has it reported to your personal?

Site error?

Now that was the largest laugh of the day! LOL, Thank you!

We all know the truth... but we're not allowed to talk about it...

Remember - I have a flawless payment history.. there can be no justification for what happend to me. NONE!

You should also really work on taking personal responsibility. From your posts I got none of that. It is everybody else's fault.

Good luck on your other forums. For me, and many others here, we get a lot of useful information here and absolutely love it.

To each its own.

Enough already.  Some posts were mistakenly deleted by me when removing a post that was a ToS violation.  I apologize for that error.
