BCP should be here in the next couple of days. I went online and set up everything I could before the card arrives. I signed up for paperless statements, alerts, etc. and got an email confirmation today. When I opened the email, I saw it said "Optima" as the account. I applied for a BCP and was instantly approved. Do you think this is just a general email? Also, will AMEX allow multiple payments per month? It's a bit obsessive but I like to PIF no longer than every 2 weeks. Discover and CapOne lets me pay as many times as I want. Hoping for same on the AMEX.
Here's what was in the body of the email. Did they approve me for a BCP but are sending me an Optima? ![]()

I didn't opt for paperless statements yet but did enroll in account alerts. I've checked the 3 emails I've gotten from them and they all say "Blue Cash". Can't wait for the card to get there!
When you logged in to your online account does it show your BCP? Mine shows up there.

It does show BCP when I log in so I guess it's just a general email or they sent me the wrong one. I have never heard of an Optima before. I saw an Optima Oasis program and I was like Oh Lord, what did I do to AMEX in the past?!? LOL I'm sure it's just a fluke.
I'm expecting the card tomorrow or no later than Friday. If they are still shipped from Omaha, I'm about three states away. I have a grocery trip and a 17 gallon gas tank waiting to break it in. ![]()
EDIT: spelling

no worries i had the same thing happen to me when i got the BCE, i was a little freaked when i saw that but when the card showed up it was the correct one, i only got approved for 1k starting limit and on the high end of interest rate this its 19 or 20%, doesn't matter much to me because i pif every month but let something show each month.iwonder if the low limit and high rate had anything to do w/ it. the limit grew fast though, and i make multiple payments a month to keep the posting bal low and they pretty much make the pmt amt ava right away which is nice

Thanks for your response. I'm happy to hear i can pay multiple times per month.

Congrats on your approval. For me amex only allowed me to make one payment during my first month. Since then I've had no issues making multiple payments.

Very good info. I guess I'll play it safe and just pay once the first month. I'd hate to make a partial payment mid month then not be able to pay again until the following month and carry a balance. And thanks for your kind words on the approval, too!

Wouldn't worry. I have a BCP, and my weekly email account summary said "Optima," not BCP. Chalk it up to computer glitch.

Not unusual. I've had the same for at least one of my AmEx cards as well.

Anything to do withe "Optima" showing up? My limit is high and my APR is low so that wouldn't seem to be the case.
