APPROVED!!! Amex Hasn't Reported This Month - Apply Anyway?

What other credit card accounts and limits do you have? Maybe you should set your eyes on another card first before you go back and apply for the Delta AMEX.

The Amex is my only card at the moment. I've had the Oasis card for just over 2 years (no lates) but the age on my CR is just under 10 years  I also have 6 student loans totalling ~ $37K. There are also some other closed accounts on my CR so it's not as thin as my current active accounts indicate.

Good recomendation. My plan had been to apply for the Discover IT after getting the Amex. Another good thing with that one is that Amex will probably only pull EX and the Discover will likely pull EQ so I won't get hit with multiple inq's on any report (I hope).

After thinking more about it, I have revised my plan. I am going to wait until Amex reports my latest statement (closed on Nov 7 - they don't usually take this long to report). 1st I'm going to apply for the PRG. If approved, I'll immediately apply for the Delta Gold. I also think I'll apply on the same day for the Discover IT.

UPDATE:

My November statement showed up on my EX report today and my score went up to 675 on myFICO. I hoped it would go higher but I still applied for the PRG and instant approval! 

Now my question is about the Delta card. I'm thinking now that I would like to pay the higher AF for the companion ticket. Does anyone know if the underwriting requirements are higher for the Delta Platinum vs. Gold??? I should apply for the revolver today so it might go on the same hard pull.
