Got an email from Alaska Airlines and B of A pertaining to potential changes in their VISA Signature program. The survey turned out to be multiple scenarios with different potential benefits and different annual fees from $75 to $120. Reminded me of going to the eye doctor...which looks better, A or B. There were maybe 8-10 pairs of benefit packages, and I was asked to choose which I preferred and how likely I would be to apply for a card with that combination of benefits. Many included Global Entry, some included SUBs up to 60,000 miles and some allowed family pooling of miles. It was fascinating.
I went back and found the original email...didn't even cross my mind to take pics while I was taking the survey.
I'm really curious to know more about their plans. Lately, some airline cards have added more earning bonuses and other benefits, like 2x restaurants, gas, hotels, etc., so I'd definitely like to see an improved benefits program. The companion fare could use a little polishing too.
I wouldn't mind a higher AF as long as the earning potential improves.

Bonus categories would be nice as long as they don't devalue the points in the process.

Yes sir. Personally, I'd like to have the ability to use the companion fare for premium cabin - not just coach (maybe on partner airlines too?), and bonus categories would be great.
I suppose, they could also create a premium version of the card with extras like club access, and more bells and whistles, but I'd be happy with a couple of upgrades.
You are spot on @imanxious! If the companion ticket included premimum cabin I would jump right in and get the BoA Alaska card. After they closed my Virgin Air, I just had no desire, especially since companion tickets cannot be for premium cabin seats.
My wife is a Delta fan...I've flown Delta but their SkyMiles program confuses me...MQM, MQS, MQD, LMNOP LOL! It's just too much for a simpleton like myself. Alaska seems to be pretty simple, at least to me. The value is decent but it would be nice to have a bonus category. And it's easier for me to snag a First Class seat on Alaska or their partner airline than I can with Delta.
