I read somewhere on this forum to just book a refundable Airline ticket and then cancel it later. I'm sure you'll end up getting the travel credit. It's probably safer than buying a gift card.

That's not usually a very cheap option.  While it would certainly trigger the credit, I'd be afraid that the refund would also trigger a reversal of the travel credit, and then if one is in a new cardmember year there would be no way to go back and get the previous year's travel credit.

Re: Altitude Reserve, Delta gift card?

We haven't made an offer yet lol.  I just did the pre approval through NFCU and from what I understand they won't even HP again and use initial DTI (at least when they give automatic approvals) without re-running it.

The LO we've been dealing with has been fantastic.  I'm also due for a 3x CLI from AmEx Sunday so I may more than replace the lost CL if I close AR.

You can do that with RTR because those credits are not refundable. That's probably what you read.

Remedios has a pair of socks with a US Bank logo. This frequently causes confusion.

I don't know what the chicken card is.

@Remedios will be right over to provide you with some guidance on this.  Also, the Garden Club thread offers a plethora of discussions on how some of these MF 'urban' things came to be.  You should pop over someday.  You can put the informative essay on hold even for a few minutes 😁👍

No worries, these things happen!  They're usually pretty amusing.
