Was happy to get the Amazon Store Card because I shop there frequently and it gets a lot of use. Had the card for 4 months and it's actually more hassle than it's worth.
I spend quite a bit at Amazon and unfortunately the limit they gave is just not enough. I've tried upping the limit and they've declined all requests. I've tried chat, Luv button and calling all denied
I've been maxing the card and paying it off days later because of the ridiculous limit. I guess that wouldn't be so bad if they weren't reporting the maxed card every 3 days screwing thing up and it takes so long like forever to update the paid balance
I'm actually to the point of wanting to cancel this card all together and just use another card.

the first CLI for synch might take 6-7 months, but can grow fast and quickly after that every ~4-6 months
I would just ride it out until you can get a CLI, IMO
do you have other cards with synchrony?

Can you overpay the card so you have available credit don't know if sync allows this. Possibly one fix to your problem so have a credit balance assuming you are using it for 5% off?
Yeah, I have a couple others with them. No issues with limits or reporting with those cards. I use and pay off all of them. My biggest issue with Amazon card is the reporting.
Every time I use the card and approach the limit, they report the nex day. So it reflects as high utilization maxing out a single card every 3 or 4 days.which can cause issues with other lenders. Guess I'll just avoid using this card until the can get there act together
@CreditCuriosity Actually that's a good idea, I will see if that's possible

yeah the random reporting is just normal synch behavior on new accounts, it should usually stop after ~6 months or so, maybe longer
consider also the prime visa or amex biz prime as options too

Well the over payment of card is not an option. Chatted with Sync and they said over paying to create a buffer is not an option. Having them report every 3 days is also not something they will help with. Will continue to use card up to the acceptable utilization and pay off. Not going to hassle with this store card. The 5% cash back is nice but running the risk of other creditors seeing constant maxed out card and possibly getting AA isn't worth it
You can get 6% cb on Amazon with usb shoppers visa. In my case, usb won't approve a cli above the original $7000 cl.

You could absolutely overpay if you are pushing your payment to them using your primary bank/CU billpay service. But yeah, if you pay thru their website and have them pull the payment, then there really isn't any FI that will allow you to overpay.

i mean tbh credit cycling syncrony isnt a great idea anyway as they are trigger happy with complete account closures. Why not the Chase Amazon cards?
