If you've experienced AA such as cutting credit limits on your AMEX accounts I'm assuming they've given reasons via email or snail mail, as required by law.    What did they provide you ?

Seems like you're also unhappy with Capital One.  Do you have recent lates or returned payments with any creditors, or any other derogatory items on your credit reports ?

Re: American Express

I've only had their cards for a couple of decades, but so far I haven't had any issues.

Nope and if you have issues with AmEx (and Cap1 as well for AA) then that's 100% on you and your credit actions. They are both in the business of loaning money via their cards. So if they lowered your limits that because of you and something in your credit profile. I say this having been Blacklisted by Amex for 19 years, from 2002 to 2021 after having been a Member since 1984 and it was 100% my fault. I now have 6 AmEx cards again and even after me on their BL for those 19 years, I'm thankful  credit wise for them

This is supposed to be a joke right? like haha? I'm going to go out on a limb and say AMEX has far more credibility with most credit card holders than probably every other credit card issuer, maybe combined. They are the "gold standard" of credit cards, An awful lot of people go out of their way to get AMEX cards. There is a reason for this.

Re: American Express

I have no interest in AmEx.  But I don't hate them, nor would I recommend someone stay away.  For me, I don't travel much, I hate annual fees, I like true cash back, I don't like points, I like cards that are accepted everywhere, etc.  But I know AmEx cards are loved by many.  I see no need to diss them.

Re: American Express

Not sure if you are trolling or whatnot but I will chime in my own experience.

American Express is honestly the creditor I am happiest to be on good terms with (right next to Chase). Although the limit on the credit card was low (lowest of all cards approved after decent profile) atleast they opened up that path for me after having issues with them around 10 years ago. They also granted me the charge cards which I use heavily. Their customer service is only a chat away which is also a huge plus for me. If there are credit decreases I would think something about your particuliar profile spooked them.
