BEWARE NFCU IS THE WORST!!!111!!!!

they really are. it takes them twice the amount of time to process a pushed payment than any other bank. They need to get with the program and accept electonic payments lol

Re: American Express

and i also sort of hate AMEX and their intrusive FRs, but i guess once they've verified you to be cool, they leave you alone for a bit

WHOMEVER ISSUES VERTICAL CARDS IS THE WORST. BEWARE!!!

<begin heresy>

Don't vertical cards make more sense?   Both for swiping and inserting (Brookline Bank ATMs being an exception) you use them vertically.  Sure, in the good old "make an imprint machine" days it didn't matter one way or the other, and contactless is returning to that, but for most machine use, vertical is how it is used.

No.  Who cares how they function?  It is about how they look in the wallet.

Yes, that's been my problem since joining the forum.   I have no evaluation function for the beauty or otherwise of a small rectangular piece of plastic or metal, which I would look at, if at all, a few seconds per week.    I gather others feel strongly!

Is it just me r there must be others that hate America express? I have a lot of credit cards! 3 with American Express they do what ever they wants with your account, they will drop your limit as they pleases. I have cards with 41,000, 25000,17000, 15000 and more. I'm just here to let you guys know to stay away from America express!

Personally, I can't say enough good about Amex. They get pretty much all of my spend. I can also say, with certainty, that they don't just "do whatever they want with your account" If they are dropping your limits, or hitting you with any other AA, it is 1,000% something on your end causing it. And out of all the issuers, when they give you a reason for something they are definatly one of the most honest/accurate. I would be willing to wager that this is a pretty common situation between you and your issuers.
