I would caution those advertising their age when they might not legitimately be eligible for the requested MSD adjustment. It would suck for them to stop fulfilling these requests for all (legitimate) members because of abuse.

+1

I mentioned this a few posts back....

Would really be unfortunate to lose this great benefit down the road due to misuse.

I just re-read my post and it was misstyped. Mine is 100% legitamate MSD correction.

Kr3st00, my comment was not directed at you. I apologize if it seemed that way.

I was just making a general statement regarding misuse and abuse of the benefit.

No worries at all! I'm glad most are getting taken care of accordingly!

Two points:

1:  Am I the only one with this problem?  When I logon AMEX site and click on each of my card it says MEMBER SINCE 1995.  But on the actual card itself the image on one of the card still says 2011.  I made a second request for the correction yesterday and was told everything would be fixed.  Is it really a problem or just some system error?

2:    With our new MSD now we can all start our chat or phone conversations with AMEX with, "Hi John/Mary/Patel, I've been a member of Amex since 19xx, I have an issue I hope you can take care of for me."    Talk about a change in how we can be treated.

HOLY SMOKES, BATMAN!!!

I thought the CSR was kidding when she said she would put a note to expedite my MSD correction cards.   Just received an email ten minutes ago with a tracking # that my card has been shipped.  So I go and check on UPS and it says the card is out for delivery to me already.  Should arrive by 3 PM today.

Scheduled Delivery:Wednesday, 06/11/2014, by 3:00 P.M.(by end of day for residential deliveries)

This is crazy insane excellent customer service!

So I thought well maybe because it's a PRG  which was shipped overnight also when I apped for it six months back.

Lo and Behold, two minutes later I received two more UPS tracking #s for my other two cards.... also out for delivery today.

I can't believe my eyes.  Does AMEX love me this much?

I'm not leaving home again without my American Express!

Re: Amex Backdating Success

Got my cards!

Something I noticed right away...I will be sending comments to AMEX for sure.

1:  All the cards have the same everything except for the new MSD.  Very dangerous.  What if someone had picked up the package?  Even if you didn't activate the cards you can still use them since they have same #s on front and back.

2:  All three of my cards arrived with the correct MSD as 1995.   However on the Amex website one of my card still shows 2011 as MSD.  Anyone knows what's going on?  It's a small issue but I dont understand why or how 2011 got into the picture.

Re: Amex Backdating Success

Why do you have a different login account for each card? Thats why one of yours says 2011. Thye have to go into each account and change it. If you had one login  for all accounts that would not happen. Aslong as it still says 2011 when you login, its going to report 2011.

Re: Amex Backdating Success

I received my Platinum card today. My member since up top says 2006 for both cards on their website, is it listed anywhere else?

Re: Amex Backdating Success

I have only one login. The top msd is correct. I am referring to the actual images of each of the card. if u look at the images u will notice the year imprinted on the image of each of your card. On one of mine says 2011.

I don't think those are meant to be real, one of mine says 1995.
