Most creditors are quicker with the AA than they are with the LUV. I had one UD me for a loan reporting a 5 dollar late payent that was never late. Had they nt UDd me I would never have n=know this was on my report. I had them correct it as it was their posting date, not my payemnt date but the card would not lower back to the original rate. I paid an closed. That was the day I leared always to have a back up.Amex loves perfection, a late will open you to all sorts of uglies not only with them but with just about all creditors.

Like many posts here, I am sure there is more to this story. Usually "charge-offs" are not closed by the consumer for one thing.
It is quite possible that they wanted to change your arrangement because of credit issues elsewhere on your report. If this was the case and you used a lot of "drama" they may have pushed you to pay up immediately. Being on this site means we have all most likely had issues with credit and my feeling, there is almost always some action that we could, or could not have taken that leads to our circumstances. The important thing is to learn from those circumstances and as with all things in life, never say never, or you may spend your life in a corner.
Good luck,

As long as you make your min pymnts each month, no lates/overlimits and you are not at a defautl rate, your min due will not change. This was done because of congress wanting the CCC's to get people out of debt faster. The max your min due will be is 4% of bal, plus any late/overlimit fees.
