Amex - EBates MR

Hello guys, so I've been purchasing stuff from Ebates under the new MR program, however, it seems like in the first time I got points was when I went to Amazon, after that I bought stuff from Amazon and Walmart, and never again to receive points. I even clear cache, went to ebates, click on the Amazon or Walmart and go about with purchasing, I do see it reflect but it keeps saying 0. Someone said on a blog to make a claim and even a friend that's in the credit card game too, but it doesn't make sense to make a claim when the store report back to Ebates... How do I get the points other than that? I thought everything was automatic?

Im not in this program just the regular Ebates program and I constantly have to demand my cash back as the stores dont bother reporting the final purchase or so they say. Ebay is the only one I consistently get creditor for. Walmart is ridiculous so is everyone else I buy from in the Ebates program. Ebates really is a joke IMO.

Re: Amex - EBates MR

I recently made a purchase on Groupon (6% cashback with Ebates) and they credited it almost immediately. Make sure you have all the adblockers disabled for that website, because whitelisting sometimes doesnt work.

+1.  I agree with @gdale6 Ebates is really bad...but I'll go one further and say that most of these shopping portals are bad.  If you don't take a picture of your offer or write it down, use a certain browser, keep every receipt, etc, etc, etc it'll be a task to get credit for your purchase.  I've used eBates, American and Alaska's shopping portal...and while they all work if you have the patience to deal with them and their constant need for back and forth emailing and uploading of receipts, it can start to take more time that it's worth.

Re: Amex - EBates MR

I can't speak for the AMEX portion but ebates has worked fine for me. They usually give credit but if they don't, I always submit documentation and it is added pretty quickly. My biggest issue is that sometimes they take cash away from your account and they don't tell you what they took or why they took it back.

Yeah, it's a hassle. I'm gonna start building Southwest points then by using their shopping portal. I'ma just take their welcome bonus and whatever I had.

Re: Amex - EBates MR

This new partnership is awesome. I'm set to get about 30K MR points next month from it. Everything has worked flawlessly EXCEPT for Amazon -- I just suspect it's because cash back is only for certain categories and maybe Amazon doesn't know how to report that accurately? A claim resolves it for me.

Re: Amex - EBates MR

Things have been pretty smooth using Ebates MR version. Made around 5 purchases and a referral. Received the points for all of them except one.

Bought an amazon firestick during the 5% recent promotion. Had to wait and request it manually but the request was instantly approved and the MR credited.

Re: Amex - EBates MR

I got my $15 and regular points from a Best Buy purchase, but not on a Saks purchase. What is the claims process for missing portal points?

Re: Amex - EBates MR

The thing is I have the Ebates toolbar on my chrome, I always click on the Ebates and it direct to the shopping site that I want to go, now in my mind I'm thinking all I have to do is my regular shopping and it tracks everything for me. Like someone said, you have to track every detail. I'm going to check my bank account this weekend and just work on this Ebates thing. Does anybody have a Excel spreadsheet for tracking this type of stuff? Thanks!
