Gold is listed as having 3x on flights booked directly with airlines and through the Amex travel portal. I booked a hotel through the portal and got 3x points. Was that a goof or is that a part of the program?
That seems like a goof unless you had an Amex Offer that gave you a boost? The Platinum card earns 5x on hotels through Amex Travel, but the Gold has no such multiplier.

Also, that PDF just reminded me that there are a lot of Membership Rewards cards I have yet to get my hands on. LOL

There is an additional multiplier for the Hotels Collection on the Gold if you prepay two nights or longer.
