Hello everyone -
I wanted to seek some guidance and advice
My wife and I have Amex Blue cash since 08 - She is the owner & I am the AU
we were never late, never maxed out - always pay more than minimum. And never once asked for CLI
yet - I just looked at our experian and there are a total of 5 SP ( three on hers, 2 on mine) within June
why are they reviewing it ??? so closely???
We have no new open accounts in several years other than a loan. that is it
Utilization is below 10% consistently
any insight

I believe its pretty normal for Amex to do this. They do it to pre-qualify you for other cards. And they could also do it just in case they see a risk as you go along. Risk meaning increase in balances with other cards, etc. Just what they do.
Does Amex care if an AU has horrible credit? My DGF went through a divorce that left her with an unpaid repo and 1 charge off. Her score is in the high 500s low 600s. Amex didn't bat eye at sending her a card. My credit ,while short is impeccable. Just wondering, I must be at a higher risk of FR or AA because she is an AU on my Blue Cash?
sorry if off topic
The multiple soft-pulls are probably for multiple different things. Check them and see if they are associated with different addresses. I think the general credit check has a different address from the department that checks to see if you are eligable to be pre-approved for a different card or service. I will sometimes have multiples in one month, but from different addresses, and then will go several months with no softs at all. I wouldn't worry about it.
Nothing to be concerned with.

How are you seeing your softs OP?
The reports directly from the bureaus (at least from annualcreditreport.com, I'd assume on the $8 versions too) show soft inquiries as well.
