Amex authorized users

I just got approved for the Platinum card with a 125,000 point welcome bonus, as well as 10x on restaurants, gas, and groceries for 6 months.

I also noticed I can add an authorized user as either a Platinum or a Gold card.

If I add my fiancé as an authorized user with a gold card, will we get the standard gold card point multiplier (4x restaurants and grocery stores)

The Platinum is obviously great for travel, but would also love to capitalize on the everyday multipliers with the gold card.

The Gold card that is issued for AU's on the Platinum card is not the same as the Amex Gold card. The Gold card your AU receive will have the same earning structure as your Platinum card however they will get NONE of the benefits that you get as the primary card holder.
