Amex cancelled application

I recently applied for an Amex Gold Delta and a Green card on the same day. I was denied for the Delta and received a letter that Amex cancelled my application for the Green card. Does that mean they didn't do a HP for both or did they?

If they pulled same CB, the inquiry will get combined into 1.

Amex did a Hp on the first. Are you sure you are ready for Amex - assuming the scores in your siggy are correct?

Yep, I'm ready but my scores certainly do not reflect that. I was recently approved for a Discover IT, Citi card and a card through my local CU and received a CLI from my BofA. Amex doesn't think I'm ready but only I know what's really up. I just wanted so badly to get in the door. From what I've seen of you 09Lexie, on other posts, I know I can count on you to ask a question like that. Thanks, I need to be kept on my toes And yes my scores are pretty close to the ones in my siggy now.

I'm working very hard to repair my credit and I've paid all my credit cards in full. Now it's time to just manage them responsibly and start tending to my garden.

Are you new to credit or rebuilding? If these are your current scores, either you took a hit from the multiple inq's or there might be some baddies on your profile. Something that Anex didn't like...

I'm new to rebuilding. When I applied for the discover my EQ was 667. Still bad but better than these more recent scores. I do have quite a bit of inquiries on my EX and TU. I do also have some baddies currently in dispute

Your scores have slipped for obvious reasons ( new accits, inq's) - coupled with the baddies Amex is in your future but not until you garden and take care of those baddies.

Be patient- it will come.

Also my eq was 667 for discover but my exp 50 points lower for some reason my exp is quite lower than other scores. I'd suggest waiting 6 months then trying again for green card.

IMHO, you should have applied for the Green first, then the Gold Delta if Green was approved.
