One for business expenses and one for personal spend? That is the intended use for those products, after all.

Is there any good reason why a person should carry both Amex Business Platinum charge and Amex Personal Gold charge cards? Would like your input (please don’t beat me up, just asking)
Flights and hotels are 5x on the Business Platinum, and the AF is $100 less than when compared to the personal version.
Personal gold offers 2x on groceries, gas, and dining - all popular categories for the average person.

drboxing,
You said Gold (AFAIK closed to new apps but still in existence) but mdv thinks you mean PRG. Clarification would be helpful.
If PRG, I'd say it can be good if you spend enough on the bonus categories. If Gold, I'd point out it offers little for the AF and you might explore other options. EDP might give you more in rewards if you can get a sufficient limit, but some of the protections are inferior to PRG if you make a lot of five-figure purchases.
I assume you use the Business Platinum perks/protections and the AF makes sense.
