Amex offered an upgrade

Amex offered me an upgrade on my ED to EDP,  will they hp my credit and will it be the same account age wise and so forth, i like the idea of 50% on 30 transactions to gain alot of MR points and will they offer me bonus for that card too, yall let me know, if you have done this too or know more details about this, and also thanks in advance if you can help me decide, not really worried about the AF that much , Amex has been good to me,

No HP.

I upgraded from BCE to BCP and everything stayed the same. Card number and age don’t change. Very easy upgrade. They just send out a new card.

I upgraded BCE to BCP, no hp and yes the account age will be the same. If the upgrade works for you, click the button and you're good to go.....

Are you saying they are offering you some extra points to upgrade, like 15k or 20k for $1k spend or whatever?

Or are you asking if you'd still be eligible for a bonus on EDP if you applied for EDP as a new account?

No HP for the upgrade. Probably no HP for a new account.

No they offered upgrade on my ED, i was wondering if there was a spend bonus on the new preffered card if i upgraded it has anyone experienced this same situation or even a hp to do this

BCP offer

An upgrade offer I have. When there's a bonus involved, they tend to be pretty clear about it.

I recently upgraded bce to bcp for 250 dollar bonus. I got a new card with the same number but a different expirations date and 4 digit verification code.

The language on the upgrade offers is clear. They specify no HP and no change to account number.

They also specify if they are offering you a bonus to upgrade. If there is no bonus stated, you will not get any bonus, and would most likely not be eligible for a SUB later if you closed the upgraded account and apped.

So unless you are offered a bonus, I would hold off on the upgrade.
