Any known way to trigger a mid-month reporting?

I read on some thread awhile back that suggested that you change your address and sometimes that would trigger an a reporting to the CB's.  Has anyone experienced this with any banks?  I paid off a card the day after it reported (they reported 3 days early in Feb, I'm thinking due to the short month.  BLAH.)

FICO: EQ 814 | TU 847 | EX ? (Started in the low 500's... you can do it!)

Amex BCE $25000, Amex AP $20000, SFFCU Visa $15000 + LOC $5000, USAA Amex $6000, USAA MC $7000, Cap1 $9500, Freedom $12000, Slate $500, Barclays "RIP" SM $11500, USBank Cash+ $12500, Citi Diamond $11200, Citi Double Cash $12000, Care Credit $13500k.

some banks are able to do a manual update if you ask for it, though it may require quite a bit of nagging / complaining from your end.

changing your address will usually result in an update to the CRAs, but it may result in fraud alerts / ID verification for your future apps if you are to use your 'old' address.

Unless you are planning to apply for some important loan or desperately need to apply for credit, this is too much trouble for what it's worth...

JPMorgan Palladium (100k), AmEx Platinum (NPSL), AmEx SPG (46k), AmEx BCP (42k), Chase Sapphire Preferred (47k), Citi Prestige (31k), Citi Thank You Preferred (27k), Citi Executive AAdvantage (25k), JPMorgan Ritz-Carlton (21k), Merrill+ (15k), US Bank Cash+ (22.5k), Wells Fargo (12k), Bloomingdale’s (12.4k), Chase Freedom (5k), Discover IT (5k).

Unless you are planning to apply for some important loan or desperately need to apply for credit, this is too much trouble for what it's worth...   I need to get the best I can when I app for Care Credit.  It can wait another month, it's partly obsessiveness and partly irritation that it repoprted on the 7th instead of the 10th, it's never wavered a single day in the last year.

I don't know about other banks. But, I have done this a couple of times with BofA.  I just re-typed in the same address info and saved it, and a couple days later the CRAs were updated with the new balance.

If at first you don't succeed; Garden for 6 months, then try again.

Work the system. Don't let the system work you.

I experienced the same thing when I was doing an aggressive debt paydown last Nov-Dec prior to my apps in January. I know what you're going through Smiley Wink I don't think it's obsessive at all, in the end, I was rewarded with huge starting limits, so I think your strategy is correct. I wish I had tried the address change tactic mentioned above, I just never thought about it ... but it makes sense. I tried to get Wells Fargo to do an off cycle update and they just wouldn't budge.

$26500 Amex EDP / $20000 Merrill+ / $12000 Chase Sapphire Preferred / $12000 Chase British Airways / $7500 Barclays Arrival+ / $7500 FIA Amex / $7500 Paypal Extras MC / $7000 Chase Freedom / $3500 Discover It

I updated 3 or 4 cards with my phys addr, so if I see anything update I'll report back.  Smiley Happy
