Any one with Capital One included in BK?

Is it me or is Capital One sending out way too many solicitations...

They were included in my BK in 2002 but they also got a judgement from the card as well. Thats why I'm wondering why they have continually sent 3-4 offers every week for two years???

Just out of curiousity, has anyone gotten a new capital one card with a previous BK with them.  I heard they trick people on the applications in to reaffirming...

I had an account with them that was included in 2004 BK. I just got a card from them in late June from a pre-approved offer they sent. The offer was for $300. So I applied thinking I could get back into their good graces. I never had a problem with them before. So they gave me $750, 0% interest until Feb 08. I called them in August and told them I wanted to take advantage of the 0% for a balance transfer and they gave me an additional $500. The few times I have called them, I get a really nice, an English speaking rep. Good luck.

My wife got approved for a new unsecured Cap1 account with $10K CL at 10.40% just 9 months after filing our CH7, which included her old Cap1 account. Never has  any issue with her discharged BK account been raised by Cap1. We are very pleased with Cap1.

They pulled EX and her score was ~665. Many paid as agreed accounts before the BK kept our scores from tanking too badly. Her EX is now 708 at 23 months after BK filing.

For the record, Cap1 does watch like a hawk. They do a soft "account review" pull on her EVERY month at ALL 3 CRBs. If they saw any new lates reported, I'm sure her card would self destruct in ten seconds.

My bankruptcy was 10 years ago, so it is hard to remember for sure.  But, I believe they are the ones I discharged that immediately offered a new card. I believe they did send me an offer to reaffirm, which I turned down.   Several years later I did accept their offer and used the card to move across the US and then went under again when I could find no job and had no where to live for a long time.
