Anyone ever heard of Amex sending customers an email solicitation

I have had 3 Amex cards for the past year.

Today, shortly after being turned down for a Simply Cash Business card, I got an email solicitation from Amex for its Blue Cash Everyday card.

It was genuine, not a phishing thing.

What the heck was that about?

Maybe they're saying you're better qualified/pre approved for that one?

I've gotten two emails for the PRG 50k offer. Then I got a snail mail offer.

Oh yeah that reminds me, I have gotten email solicitiations from them for the Gold Rewards card.

I don't take those seriously because I already have one of their charge cards, and it's one too many.

This is the first time I got a solicitation for a card I actually would like to have; but I'm sick of getting turned down.

If I felt confident that that's what they're saying, I'd grab it.

But I don't.

Amex has been treating me like dirt for a year.

Just realized... it couldn't be that. Because Amex automatically rejects when there's a recent application denial.
