Anyone get a QuicksilverOne recently?

What is the average starting limit? When I app, I'll have an average report, according to their guidelines, but no baddies. Make 90k a year. Is it possible to get a 5K approval?

You would get a better response with this in the credit card section, you can PM a mod and ask it be moved there.

Re: Anyone get a QuicksilverOne recently?

I got a starting limit of $3k just a few weeks ago with a score around 640 so I'd say $5k isn't totally out of the question.

I had an HSBC but Cap one bought it and was issued a Cap One Quicksilver to take the place of the HSBC, with the same limit, $20,000

Re: Anyone get a QuicksilverOne recently?

I would app first for the QuickSilver card, not the QuickSilver One.  The QS One card has an annual fee with it and it seems that the account is more restrictive than the QS card.  If you have no baddies on your report you might even get upgraded to the Signature Version which has much better customer service than the QS One card!  I have the equivalent of the QS One card and I have to go to the EO to get credit limit increases.  I converted one of my Capital One cards to a Venture card and that one also has better chances of getting CLI's than the HSBC converted to a QS card!  The one which was converted to a Venture actually gave me a CLI of $2000 a little over a month ago and the Signature also gave me a $2000 increase just a few minutes ago.  I tried four times in the last 2 months on the converted HSBC card and get some silly message about reviewing my card at it's current limit.  I have spent twice the limit in the last six months, so it really can't be the real reason!  The converted card is over 2.5 years old and the Signature card is only 9 months old, so ..........

A little more info might also help us to tell you a bit more about your chances and what to do.

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.....
Always follow these rules: Only take a HP for a new account. Always use the best rewards card for that reward category. Don't close a card unless you know you really should. Never use more than 35% of a credit limit. Recon as much and as best you can. Use the introductory period to the best advantage. Get the signup bonus. Whenever possible PIF or balance transfer so you pay less in interest. Never give an excellent rating when it is actually the norm. Always look for a discount as more is always better.
Always accept candy from strangers because they have the best candy or from people you know have good candy.
