I saw an ad on credit karma for the Sallie Mae Evolve credit card. I am over 5/24 but it seems like they might approve me. They are offering a $200 SUB for $1000 spend. There is a 2% cashback on the top two categories. It seems like an interesting card with the SUB. Has anyone ever heard of or been approved for this Evolve credit card? Is it a good card or good website/customer service? I do not have any sallie mae loans nor am I a current college student.
Hi @flash3 - welcome to the forums.
There was a discussion about the (re)launch of the Sallie Mae cards back in 2019 from this older thread:

My understanding, when it comes to the UW, they're definitely picky. You can also search around for additional threads since there's been a variety of other discussions that haven't fared as favorably about their cards.
I have seen these cards offered on Sallie Mae's website the card is pretty basic with 1.5% on everything however that 2% on top spend categories is a nice offer. Have you checked to see if you have any pre approval's from FNBO for the FNBO Evergreen it's a 2% everything card which might make more sense over this card. You can also check for pre approvals for the Wells Fargo Active Cash which is another 2% on everything card. Both FNBO and Wells Fargo have the same sign up bonus as Sallie Mae spend $1000 in 3 months get $200. I have attached the pre approval links below.
For FNBO Evergreen! Just select Pre-qualify Now above the evergreen card. https://www.fnbo.com/personal-banking/credit-cards/
Wells Fargo Pre Approval not just for Active Cash https://web.secure.wellsfargo.com/credit-cards/yourinfo/?sub_channel=WEB&vendor_code=IA&lang=en&prod...
What Does UW mean?
I think Sallie Mae cards used to be operated by Barclays but now they are operated by the Sallie Mae bank.
I will look into Wells Fargo, are they known to be picky for above 5/24?

Yes they used to be issued by Barclay's. Did you try FNBO's pre qual tool? I got approved for card from them being over 5/24 do you mind providing some data points about your credit profile eg scores inquries aaoa, number of cards.
I have the Laurel Road 2% student loan cash back card and I love it. We use it for as much as we can and the 2% goes directly to pay down our student loans. The student loans do not have to be with LR either. (Mod cut - these types of discussions or tactics are prohibited on the forums per the myFICO Forums TOS @ahmeyer)

I was approved for the FNBO last month and am waiting for the card.
I just noticed that the Schwab Amex card is offering a limited time $200 SUB so I just got approved for that,
since I am already a Schwab IRA holder, so they give an automatic approval even if you are over 5/24.
In August, I got the Sofi card after opening a Sofi money account so does the Sofi card count towards 5/24?
I get the feeling that if you have a relationship with the bank via Checking/Savings account then it doesn't seem to count towards 5/24?
I just opened up a Savings acccount with Capital One, so do you think they will be lenient on the Savor Card approval if I already have a savings account with them?

No, Capital One doesn't take into account bank accounts for CC app approvals.
And 5/24 is for Chase.

Will Cap One prefer if you already have the Quicksilver or some other of their cards, before getting approved for the Savor?
I have been denied for the Savor but they keep oferring me their starter and secured cards instead.
Should I get the secured card then apply to the Savor in 6 months?
