Anyone with a new PenFed credit card approval, is there a delay getting physical card?

Where/what state did they send your card from and what state u in if u don't mind me askin?  They told me my card was shipped out on 1/13 and I still haven't received mine yet, I live in CA btw. Thanks

Lol trust me I don't understand it either, but that's what four different reps have told me. I'm not holding my breath on getting my card this month maybe the first week of feb.

I am in Minneapolis, MN, and the card was sent from Omaha, NE.

Well, if I knew it would come from Omaha, I would have just left when I got approved. Seeing as it would take me 23 days to walk from Oregon to Nebraska, I might have been able to physically pick up the card today. 

23 business days and counting. Not even counting Saturdays since I am assuming they are not sending cards out over the weekend.

So I fi-nallyyyyyy got the card today!!!! Took exactly 42 days including holidays and weekends.

Got approved on 12/13/22, card shipped from Omaha, NE on 1/13/23, received in Bay Area, CA on 1/23/23.

I guess I better hold on to this card like my life depend on it, or else who knows how much longer it will take to get a replacement.  *Sheesh*

Well mine was just approved on 1/12, so I'm assuming I won't see the physical card until 2/12 or so...

Wow. That...is crazy.

So heard from them today and now it's a chip shortage:

"The delay is caused by a national chip shortage. Our card manufacturer is working as diligently as it can to send these cards out to members. This is why we do not have an exact ETA at this time.

We understand that this may be frustrating as the member, and understand the apologies do not make up for the fact that you do not have your card."

Guess I was lucky lol. I Cold App'ed and was approved on 01/12/2023 and received the card in the mail today 01/26/2023
