Re: App'ing is addictive

I hate to waste a HP as we all do. Any possibility it'd be advantageous to write a rec letter? If so, got an address?

I mistaking made a payment to midland in 2011. Then I see on my most recent CR that they took six dollars fron another account I have with them and applied it to the CapOne collections. That was last month. So it will be sometime before it falls off.

Please know that making a payment does not reset the clock as to how long it remains on your reports. CAs can only stay on from 7 to 7-1/2 years from the DOFD, which is the date when the account first became late and led to the collection activity. When was the DOFD? Perhaps it won't be on your reports as long as you think.

DOFD was Oct 2009 so it will be awhile. A year or two of gardening won't hurt.
