I absolutely love Apple products but I will admit that 99% of my Apple products never comes from Apple directly. Apple never discount their products and I can usually get their stuff at a slightly cheaper price elsewhere (Best Buy, Amazon, Sam's Club, and even Walmart). With ever recent iPhone release Sam's Club always seems to toss some sort of $100-200 gift card for buying from them even when using carrier financing. With that, there's no incentive for me to buy from Apple. I can get a gift card and 0% financing and I'll take that over 3% cash back any day of the week.

I did not actually apply because I don't really have any use for that card and I'm planning to apply for other cards in the next few weeks, but I was surprised that it was an option.
I've seen people talking about the apple card without an iphone, and everyone seemed to suggest that you need an apple device to apply.
I'm not not sure if this financing loophole is new, and perhaps, maybe now apple are allowing anyone to apply.
It is not a "shopping cart trick".
The reference to 0% financing on Apple Card is marketing in this case. You have to already have the Apple Card prior to checkout, to be able to select the 0% financing.I never said anything about the SCT. I was introducing a potential loophole to apply for an apple card without an apple device.
Ok, how far along would you get?
Without an iPhone, it seems quite unlikely an app for Apple Card would work.If someone can prove it is possible, actually get the card approval, that would be interesting.
@NRB525 I got approved for the Apple card by applying on the website with my Android phone. (For the record, I did not accept the offer.)
The whole point of this thread is that you can now apply without an iphone.
Just want to add my experience. I believe you just need an Apple ID to apply for their credit card, I could be wrong. I applied while on my android phone, but I believe I had to sign into my Apple ID. After I was approved, I grabbed my old iPhone 6 that I keep on my desk a few days later and was able to add the card to my Wallet and see my CL and balance. From there, I requested for the physical card to be ordered and shipped.
Best Buy credit card financing on Apple products is definitely better than Apple Card financing unless you are getting a Mac product that you want to customize, as you can't customize as much through Best Buy as you can through Apple directly. I got better financing deals through Best Buy for my iPad and iPod, but I will use the Apple Card for my MacBook.

Color me shocked if Apple does anything "special" considering they offer little to no sign up bonus on their card and in my experience they don't usually discount anything that they sell unless it's about to be dated by another one of their products.
They do a very small discount every year for Black Friday. And last year, and I'm betting again his year, they offered a Holliday Apple Card bonus for the last half of December.

Ok, that's progress, and congrats on the approval. However you still needed a compatible iPhone to seal the deal.
Anyone not have any iPhone or iPad and get the Apple Card?

You are correct. However, there's a way around that by adding an apple product to the cart and selecting the financing option. You don't actually have to use the financing or even buy the product. You just need to apply for the card as if you're then going to take advantage of the financing on your purchase. This works on any device through the browser. You don't need an apple ID, but you'll need to create one. As part of the application, apple will prompt you to create an apple ID.
Apple do not allow you open account or apply for pschcal card wiyhout an apple device? like Ipad or Iphone?
Lol what logic behind this?

@mustangy-- this topic has been covered fairly well in the past, please see responses upthread. I'm surprised you'd still want to pursue the Apple Card given your stance a few months ago about your feelings about Apple in general 🤷🏼♂️
For posterity and your last quoted message in June of this year... "This is our last apple product and will soon close your card ASAP"

I have an apple card , I do not own apple device I got approved on their site . Accepted it . Used my sons I phone to order the physical card and I pay on their website portal. I'll be honest I just wanted the metal card to have the metal card haha . But I do use it from time to time . And put him as authorized user so he can buy on the app store or his PlayStation . Have no plans to ever get an iPhone . If you ever so want a physical card you need an iPhone or iPad to at least order the card but after that you don't need it unless you shop at the few places they offer 3% at .
