Just went looking for it, and found it!!!
I already have the request in for them to change it. Should I wait till they give me a response on the current request to start calling again?
When I did it for my wife and when I did it this last weekend, they did it for me while I was on the phone. Also requested new card reflecting old member date. It took the online system a couple of business days and member since date changed online. You can call AMEX credit bureau unit in a week and see what they are showing as open date. So to answer your question, yes call back and act like you have never requested it before. Just say hey my member date is incorrect. I was asked to find my old card and I have it. Here is the number and member date. Do you want me to fax it to you? They will look it up and either find it and correct. If they argue it was AU card, just say I was told it didn't matter and only mattered when I personally held AMEX which is the 2008. If they argue with you further, just say thanks and call back in few minutes for different rep.
1st try worked )))))))))))))))))) I LOVE YOU.
The man I spoke with actually said the Zync was being as listed as from 08.. but the card was wrong.. Kind of wierd because it says 2012 on the website as well...
Buy anyway, I'm stoked!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you ask for replacement card? I would call back and ask for one just in case. Also, explain that it is showing up online incorrectly and can they do something about it. Wait a week and call amex credit report unit to verify that it is reporting correctly.
He said I would recieve a new card in 9-12 days, and could continue to use my current card.
He said the website should update in 2-3 days.
I wonder if I should somehow cancel my request that I put through the other day... I don't want them to revert it back somehow?

Great. Don't do anything unless membership date doesn't change or changes back. No need to rock the boat. Remember to register the new card even though all the info on it should be the same as the one you have aside from member date. Also, call the amex credit bureau unit in a week and ask them the open date on the card. Make sure you have the account number from some credit report.

Sounds good, thanks for the advice.
My member since date has already been changed to 2008 on the website!
Just got my card, actually cards, today. I didn't ask for it, but it seems I was sent two replacement cards with the member since date of 2008.
When I went to the mailbox I saw the two envelopes that looked like they had cards in them, and thought oh maybe they decided to play a trick on me and approve me for the BCE... but no, it was just two zync cards
I'm probably going to put close to 2000 on the zync this month, obviously paying the balance before I hit the $500 limit. Will this freak AMEX out?

I would say probabaly not ~ as long as you pay them early and often they should be happy I pay my Zync at least 2 or 3 times per week, never had any issues.

Ok cool. Do you think how much money you put on the card has any affect on their decision to switch the card to NPSL? Or is it just about being responsible?

That one's a mystery to me ~ not many people have reported getting the Hard Limit removed. I'm at 7+ months with my Zync and it's still at $200.....
