Authorized User Question

This question has probably been answered many times, but I went through about 50 past threads and couldn't find the answer, and google isn't doing it for me either (maybe I'm a bad googler).  Anyway,  I'm an authorized user on 2 cards that I've kept on my report because they are high CLs and some of my oldest accounts.  When applying for a credit card myself, does the lender take these accounts into consideration, or are they looked passed as I am only an AU?  Thanks in advance.

Re: Authorized User Question

Some will, others won't. Assuming that it's a positive TL (no baddies, low util, etc), on a computer based check, it will probably benefit you more likely than not.

Re: Authorized User Question

The lender has the option when you app to have AUs excluded from the score calculation they are requesting. The stronger the family tie the more chance it will be considered when apping for CCs. Typically for auto & mortgage you are on your own dime.
