The rules of Chase CC is:
Earn a $25 bonus when you add your first authorized user* and make your first purchase within this same 3-month period.*
This product is available to you if you do not have this card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for this card in the past 24 months.
If I add an authorized user, then later this user applies his/her own CC, does this user get the signon bonus? Or he/she is considered to "Have" this card and is not eligible to receive the bonus?

They would still get the sign on bonus. It is not affected by being an AU

And I would also caution you on adding your 19 y/o son to this since its a new account. You'd have more score boost with older accounts. HOWEVER very easy to remove him as an AU once the spending has been met and bonus has posted and yes he would remain eligible for his own bonus. I would steer him here to this site so he can learn on his own about credit might be hard at first but lots of good reading here.

This is good. I was afraid the AU can't receive his/her own new card bonus, because of the 24 months rule. Thx.
My AU is another way of writing my own name, my initials and last name. The card has the same number as my main card. It went immediately to a file never to be used again, 5,000 points easy peasy. Other people add their dogs. Chase doesn't ask for SSNs for AUs.

Nope they sure dont! Only would cause an issue if the 19 yo had the same permanent address, then it would report...
