Authorized user on Amex mean SP for my own?

Hi guys,
I'm an authorized user on an Amex card. Is it true that I can apply for my own and only receive a SP if I'm denied? Hard pull upon approval? No necessarily looking to apply just yet, just inquiring. As long as I'm logged into my account on the site.

AFAIK, no. You have to be the primary cardholder to get that benefit.

Nope... DH is AU on my PRG and Zync... However he did get a HP when he applied for his own charge card in April
