Just got a SW alert yesterday that my B of A Mastercard had reported a new, higher balance. My statement closes around the 19th of the month, and the CRAs are updated within a week. I did receive a SW alert on June 25 reflecting my statement balance. The SW alert that I got yesterday reported my current balance (prior statement balance [not yet paid] + accrued charges since the statement). Strange. Has this happened to anyone else? This is the first time for me.
I had called BoA a few days ago and asked when my closing date was (just got the CC a month ago) I was told that my due date is the 1st but they actually report the 28th, before my due date?????? So my Closing date is the 28th and my due date is the 1st??? huh?
I then called back and spoke to the Credit Bureau Dept and was told they report every 30 days, but could not tell me my exact closing date, I have the BankAmericard Cash Rewards Visa Signature at this time, however, I called and asked to have it changed over to the World MasterCard Cash Rewards Visa Signature and should have it by the week of the 18th sometime.
I am going to keep a close eye on my reports this next month to find out exactly when they do indeed report my acct. to the CRA's.
It has happened a few times with my BOA reporting mid month when I didn't want it to.
When I did want it to, and changed my address so it would report mid month, they apparently stopped that mid-month reporting when changing your personal information
Go figure, its BOA!
Just happened to me today. They reported a balance that was last week. Statement closes the 18th...

Whats the deal with BoA doing this? Do they not know they are screwing people up? I work very hard to keep just one CC reporting a VERY small balance every month and if BoA does this to me, I will not be a happy customer!!
Cap1 just did this to me a few weeks ago, I called in and complained and they sent updated info to the CRA's and it reflected the 0 balance within 5 days on my CR's, I wonder if BoA would do this for their customers?
To my knowledge this has happened to me (yet).
