I just got off the phone with them. I let them know I was closing my account and was transferred to an account manager. He asked why I wanted to close my account since I've been a customer in good standing with them since 2011. I let them know that card is just not growing with me, I have newer accounts with significantly higher limits. I had called in for CLI in Dec and was denied. He asked if the rep I spoke with when I asked for the CLI had informed me that there are currently no CLI's being given on the BBRZMC at this time, and I told him I had not been told that, and asked why if they were not being given would they go ahead and pull all three CRB's just to deny my anyways. He had no answer for that. He did say since Cap1 had taken over they were hoping for some new changes in the future. I just let him know that I thought it was time to end my relationship with them and move on. So my account with them has been officially closed, while I lose the $500 that was helping my Util, I did lose a high APR card with an AF. Time to move forward with my newer and better cards.
You have nice cards in your siggy so I dont blame you for closing. Did u ever contact cap1 exec office to get a cli?
Mine and it's sweet $300 limit will be getting axed when it hits renewal time in a few months.
With an $8400 Amex, I don't believe I need this card anymore.

I got a CLI of a measley $200 in December and I got them to cancel my AF...So they are lying to you. What are your scores, uti...etc? Oh and it was not a hard pull. Never mind, I saw your scores and credit lines. I would not even worry. Honestly, I use mine to get Best Buy points but this card is SD anyways.
BTW 99% of the time credit limit increases with Best Buy are soft pulls. Every one i've gotten has been soft.
I don't believe any store card that is backed by Capital One pulls all 3 CR's. I think that is just for Capital One's own products.

I double checked and it was only one pull, the triple pull came from AMEX around the same time.

I've had it since Oct of 2011, started with a $300 CL, then last July I called in for a CLI and got $200. The only CLI I ever got with them was a SP when they were still HSBC. Nothing since Cap1 took over.
Do you think this also applies or the Best Buy Store Card?
