Worked for me, $500 to $800, not much but progress. Since I'll be closing my $300 CreditOne card shortly it keeps my total available the same.
@TravellingNomad wrote:yeah i don't see the option in my account as well. maybe it's because they recently gave me a$200 increase for a cli of $800. but i was hoping that when they did give me an increase, it would be for a higher amount since i use the card often and always paid way more than i needed to each month to keep the balance just around $100 each month.
you guys think they'd do a reconsidertion if i ask them for a higher cli?
IIRC there are two tiers of gold: One that allows the customer initiated CLI's as a link, the other where you have to call or wait for an auto-CLI. I used to have the old one before I applied for my new one (I wanted to get the no-AF version and close the other...should really just have waited until I was eligible for platinum, though).
Anyone going to wait the full 24 hours and request another CLI?
Let us all know if this is actually a hard pull!!!
It was a soft to EQ for me, I also didn't get a increase and my EQ is 729. It showed as a ND under EQ soft pulls.
Was this today that you requested the CLI?
I did it last night, I'm the one that started this thread. So I will just use my $100 CL to pay my directv bill and PIF each month like I have for the past year.
My CL doubled from $300 to $600. I won't complain too much.
Looks like I'll have to give it a try!
I have had the card for only 10 months also, the no AF version with a $500 limit, and the CLI request worked instantly and added another $300 to total $800 limit.
$300 isn't a lot, but I feel better having that little bit in there as cushion. It's so easy to run up the balance on a low limit card. I feel like I have some breathing room on this card now
Thanks to the OP and other posters for the hot tip and encouragement!
I have 2 BBRZ cards, the first one is a Gold with No AF with a 700 limit (started at 500 in 2008, raised to 700 in 2009, no increases since then). This one DOES NOT have the Credit Line increase button showing.
The second card is a BBRZ Platinum, with a 5K limit, opened 12/09 (NO AF). This one had the CLI button. I just clicked it a minute ago, was asked to enter my income, and was got the following message: Congratulations! Your Credit Limit Increase request has been approved. Your new credit limit is $6500.00. You may use your new line immediately..Needless to say, I was shocked.
I am probably going to close the Gold Card, even though it has no AF, because I only use it for my Netflix every month. It (and an old Orchard Gold card with a paltry 600 limit) are my last two toy limit cards.
