Thinking of applying for Amex. I understand about the categories and cash back etc. Other than that what are the difference between the BCE and ED card? Would I possibly get a bigger limit with one or the other? And do you think they might like my profile enough to approve me?

I don’t think one merits a higher limit than the other based on the card. IMO they are both “starter” AMEX so to speak w/o AF.
Will they like your profile enough to approve you? Have you burned them in the past or iib? Did you check the pre-approvals?
The only site I'm ever pre approved on is Discos new site. Never amex chase citi or anyone else will pre app me. I think at one point a year or two ago I "opted out". Since then I have "opted in" multiple times online. Still don't understand why I won't get pre approvals though. Pretty new to credit so i just don't understand what those points are good for but thanks for clearing that up. Other than that no ive never burned anyone or anything. I'm 23 years old. New to credit other than the one credit card that I messed up over a year and a half ago when I didn't understand what the repercussions were.
Thanks K. Check up about pre approvals
If you are receiving true Discover approvals, you are opted in.
So you may not be eligible yet, but don’t give up.
I would check Cap1 again for the QS1 to see if you qualify for another card. You can then combine your current card to get a higher limit.
As far as MR vs CB...kudos to you for being honest about not knowing the difference. A lot of times peeps get cards without knowing if they would actually “work” for them.
Just based on that, I think BC would be better for you. Who does love cashback?
MR are mostly for travel points. There are other ways of redemption as well, TU seeing as your “new”, I would stick to cash.
Thanks. That's all I ever see posts about is travel points which I never travel. At least by air. I think I'm gonna try for discover and amex next week once my scores are all updated as best as they can be at this time for now. I see a lot of people have luck with amex and discover with thin profile. Just didnt know which card to go for. I think it's worth the cold app, will find out soon enough. Fingers crossed. Thanks again
Yeah I was thinking they would update in a week or two. Although Cap1 hasnt updated anything for me Since Aug 26th so I kinda gave up on them anyway on reporting. But yes I'm gonna try the AZEO method as suggested by ABCD's thread. (I usually PIF anyway). Thanks for the help y'all

DO NOT give up on Cap1 reporting, it is critical that they report the right information. You're scores and future approvals depend on it! Many here have had issues with Cap1 not reporting. Call them and tell them to make sure they report on your next closing statement. I did that and they just reported yesterday, I paid off my card ($16k) and finally reports $0.
