I received an invite to apply for the BMW card and received a "confirmation code" to apply with.
Is this a targeted offer? I won't use the words "pre-approved" because they didn't but I've never received such an email from them regarding their card before.
Any and all input is welcome! Thank you!

It is a marketing solicitation or invitation to apply. All invitations (pre-selected, direct or pre-approved) will always have a code or tracking reference. Just be aware that it is not a pre-approved offer. If your profile supports it, and the benefits of the card align with your spend and lifestyle patterns (depending on which version was offered), then you can give it a try. The card is UW by ELAN Financial Services (US Bank subsidiary).
Agreed @FinStar
I have the card but it's been a long time and pre-elan when BMW was their own bank. The APR is okay...nothing exceptional and CLI's can be SP or HP... when you call, they state they don't know until you request...meh! They're getting more aggressive with bonus points now to drive up usage for a predetermined date.
