BOA CLI Any recent experiences?

I just requested a CLI on my BOA Amex Accelerated Rewards, got the call us for instant response message.

Currently have a 7500 line with them card has been open for a little over six months. I have gotten

this message in the past with them and days later find there to be an increase without a call.

My question is has anyone had an recent experiences without calling in that they pull a hard on EX?

In the past they have always pulled a soft for me for these increases? Went from 2500-4k-7500.

I checked my EX and they did a soft pull. Could they do a hard pull if I dont call in?

Thanks.

Re: BOA CLI Any recent experiences?

I requested a increase about a week ago. Went from 6000 to 7500. They called me and they told me it was a hard pull but it was just a soft and that was that. From what i've read it seems they just been doing soft pulls.

YMMV though.

Re: BOA CLI Any recent experiences?

LOL.Hopefully they only pull from EX?

I asked for $10,100. I currently have $7.500. My highest CL is $20,000 thru PSECU.

FICO is 700 on the nose.

Re: BOA CLI Any recent experiences?

I have the same BOA amex for less then a month  It came with a 10k CL and saw a luv button so tried, asked for 20k,lol figured why not. So    i got the call in screen, called and she said shed have no problem doing it after some history with them. She notated the account to call in after the first of the year and they would increase it to 20k  lol

Re: BOA CLI Any recent experiences?

I just got an increase from 10k to 15k. Pressed the luv button, it said call. I didn't call. Saw the increase in a few days, no hard pull. This has been the case for every increase I've done on this card. Mind you I had a $750 limit just last year, LOL. Smiley Very Happy

Re: BOA CLI Any recent experiences?

Just got an increase a couple of weeks ago, no HP.

Looking at OP, this is 3rd request in 6ish mnths, perhaps step away from the luv button for a while, if concerned about HP.

Would also consider placing fewer, perhaps somewhat larger requests,

rather than repeated smaller requests, in a short time period, to potentially reduce odds of HP.

In general, it seems they don't HP for CLI. YMMV.

Re: BOA CLI Any recent experiences?

Same here, soft pull. My reports are frozen anyway. I had 4.5k, asked for another 4.5k. The agent approved, then I asked "could you make it 10k?" She said no, only 9k right now. Check the card an hour later, 10k. Loved it.

Re: BOA CLI Any recent experiences?

Where are you folks seeing this "luv button"?  I check out my account at least once daily, never saw anything I could recognize as what you're talking about.  What does it look like?  Where on the page is it?

Don't really want a CLI, $20K is enough on that account.  But pretty disturbed that they don't seem to think I'm worth an offer.

When you log in, click on "Account Details" on the next page, to the left of your screen (look at my screen capture below)

See right under "Temporary Authorization" (rounded) Request a credit line increase, that's where my luv button is, I would assume that's where yours should be as well.

I had my BankAmericard Cash Rewards World MasterCard (5K initial CL) just over 3 months, I had run only one purchase thru the card on the third month of 1749, I paid in full the 1749 like 17 days later, and the very next weekend I clicked the luv button (Labor Day Weekend) and asked for an additional 5K, the next page said "Call in for instant decision" I did not call in, and two days later I logged into my online acct and it showed my CL of 10K.

I had called BoA a few days before and asked if a CLI request would be a hard pull and I was told yes it would be, three days after I did the request I refreshed my EX report and no hard, so I pulled my full report and it showed a soft pull on Sep4th (the day I did the request). So for me it was a soft pull as some other members have stated as well. (BTW, no hard pulls on EQ or TU either, just a soft on EX) YMMV I guess.

Best of Luck!!
