BOA and Elan - Ok with Multiple Payments?

I do not have previous experience with either of these lenders. I have not had issues with multiple payments in a month with others before, but have heard on here that some lenders will place a hold on subsequent payments. Are Bank of America or Elan (MCP card) known to do this? Or are they okay with more than one payment in a month?

In my experience, yes. Generally I've never had ANY lender give me a problem with multiple payments. I mean, you're giving them more money, so that's a good thing.

@Remi1   I've made multiple payments on my BoA card plenty of times.  I don't have Elan yet, to comment.

I will add that if the BofA account is new....they "may" hold your payment for up to 7 days.  I experienced this twice...once from a payment within BofA and once from out.  After that, no issue.  SO if you're BofA is new...you may experience this.  Otherwise, no.

If you're ultimately concerned about the payment posting and freeing up available credit, you can walk into a branch with cash and then it will post.

Yes, the account is new. It is not so much about concern over freeing up available credit but just to prepare myself on what to expect. I like to pay my cards pretty much as I go throughout the month and if I was going to be stuck with a hold on a payment, I'd just wait until more of the charges are on there first before making the payment.

I've done 2 -3 payments to both. Neither blinked.

I've frequently made multiple payments during a billing.cycle on my.BofA Customized Cash Rewards card and never had a problem. I opened the card in early March 2021.

I should add @Remi1 that when I use the word "New" that I mean within the first month/first payment made. After that first month, payment(s) it was never an issue and didn't experience a hold again.
