Balance transfer cards

When apping for a BT card does it help to show the CC you are planning to transfer balances from.......or does it make any difference?

Like when applying for the section of add a BT? I would say it helps with the limit, mainly because a lender wants to give you limits that suits your needs.

exactly what I was asking......wonder if the CL you are transferring the balances from helps also.  I am thinking about transferring balances from a couple of cards one has a 7K limit the other has a 12K limit.  Total transfer between the two is about 2.5K

2.5k or 25k? Just wanting to make sure. If your applying for Discover or Chase Slate on the BT. There is a section to add the BT before submitting the application. If you enter the 2.5k because it will ask the amount of each account i mean you dont want to say all 19k on that 1 card because then those 2 your transferring would be negative i think you will be fine on getting a decent limit, however i do think it will help with a higher one.

I am thinking about a BT of 800 from the 12K limit  card and 1300 from the 7K limit card.... I just checked my balances.  .  I do not plan on closing either card......just transfer the debt to the new card.

I dont think you will have a problem Are those your only balances?
