Does anyone have experience of balance transferring from the DCU credit card? I know DCU has some weird setup with their credit cards actually being loans and the account numbers not matching CC number.
What did you put into your balance transfer request from another bank? Loan number or just DCU credit card number? Did you have any issues?
I know for many this month is when the DCU's 6 month free balance transfer is up. I was thinking about using up balance transfer promotion on my another credit card and rolling the money around.

I haven't found any difference in making balance transfer payments to DCU.

Just curious whether you have done it? So did you just input DCU credit card number in your other bank/credit card issuer and all went smoothly?

I wouldn't do the 16 digits on the card. If it was me, you instruct them the info from DCU form, https://www.dcu.org/content/dam/dcu/global/generic/documents/mail-in-deposit.pdf
The form is straight simple to follow. All you need the CU member name and account ID number.
<Member #> <S/C/L/M> <Account #>
So if you have a loan and the number is 150, then its 156896L150. <- Example
^ This is what I do when doing payment to the account. Sometimes I have seen it without the letter via Bill Pay bc of the processor doing it.
If anyone has same question. Using loan number and DCU address on statement of the CC worked the best. So member number + loan number and address from DCU statement credit card at the bottom for the payment slip.
Did you have to call them to have this completed? Trying to transfer DCU to AMex now and it states that I have an invalid CC number?
