I am unable to change my 3% as well but it is great seeing that the 10% bonus is still there. I will likely use my 3% category for travel when the af for my Premier approaches. Gas isn’t a big expense for me as my job is only like 11 miles from me. So I would likely just put gas on my non category spend card.
I do hope that the 25$ redemption is lifted because that was a deal breaker for me.
I'm not able to change my category yet either and the $25 minimum is still in place. My last statement said it could take 7-10 business days to be enrolled in the new program so it could potentially be the end of the month before changes can be made.
I'm personally a little more excited about them getting rid of the minimum redemption than the category change (although I am planning on changing it from gas to something else because I have no commute so I don't go to gas stations very often). Maybe when my statement cuts on the 17th it'll include my 10% bonus on what I've already earned and I'll be 'enrolled' in the new program.
This is irritating me, for a weird reason.
My BoA (co-branded Visa) Cash Rewards used to have a nice clear place in my wallet: It was my Costco card, plus I used it for gas. I was mainly interested in the 3.5% back at Costco I get as a preferred rewards customer, and it was nice that I got 5.25% back on gas--but I don't drive that much. Still, it was nice, and 3.5% back at Costco is great! The $2500/quarter thing never bothered me much since I don't spend that much at Costo so that was OK.
But now they had to go and change things. Now it would make a LOT more sense for me to flip it to dining, and get 5.25% there. But, add my restaurant spending to my Costco spending and for sure I'm going to blow past that $2500/quarter every single quarter. And then I'm going to have to pay attention to how much, and switch to another card when I get to the limit.
That's gonna drive me nuts! Life was so simple when I always just knew what card to use -- now I'm going to have to keep track of where I am in the quarter and how much I've got left. Ugh. I hate that!
(I know, "first world problems")
How often can you change your 3% category? I could see myself using it for travel for three or four months of the year and for dining in the other months. But is that even possible?
Glad to see BofA getting rid of the $25 minimum redemption. Wish other banks would do the same... Amex, Citi, and NFCU come to mind.

You can change it once per calendar month, according to the terms I saw

I plan to app for a co-branded CR soon if this holds true in their system. Have others been able to see this for other co-branded CR cards such as US Pride? Furthermore, has anybody been able to see pending points for both categories under different cards?

Thanks for confirming the 10% is still available.
